Indian family pleads for news of son missing after Nepal floods
An Indian family from Maharashtra is desperately pleading for verified information regarding their 28-year-old son, Abhishek Ghone, who has been missing since Wednesday's devastating flash floods in Nepal. Abhishek had traveled to Kathmandu on August 24 to embark on the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage and last contacted his family late Tuesday night before his tour group began their journey. The flash floods, triggered by waters originating in Tibet, struck central Nepal, causing widespread destruction and impacting several districts. While an AI tool used by a friend suggested he might be safe, the family insists on official, verified updates from authorities. Abhishek is one of four individuals from the Kalyan-Dombivli region reported missing following the disaster, as concerned relatives await concrete news about their loved ones.
