Former students of Janata Secondary School in Mangalchaur Arunkhola, Nawalpur district, have established a fund of NPR 3 million for the school. Gyanendra Ale, coordinator of the fund and former student (also ex-secretary of NRNA UK), stated that the purpose of the fund is to honor the school and maintain a strong emotional connection. The fund aims to provide scholarships to poor and talented students and enhance the school's academic quality. 80% of the annual interest from the fund will be used for these purposes, while the remaining 20% will be reinvested. An agreement was signed between the school principal and the chairman of the integrated fund operation committee in the presence of school management officials, ward representatives, former students, and social workers.

The number of students pursuing higher education within Nepal has increased by 10.9%. In the fiscal year 2081/82, the number reached 745,770, up from 672,489 in 2080/81. According to the Economic Survey 2082/83, 50.5% of higher education students are in management, while only 0.15% are in agriculture. Approximately 80% are studying management, education, humanities, and social sciences. Tribhuvan University accounts for 75.3% of students across its constituent and affiliated campuses. As of Falgun 2082, Nepal has 21 universities (15 central, 6 provincial) and 8 health science academies.
